Aluminum Garage Door Threshold
Heavy duty aluminum threshold. Primarily used for garage doors but also works well in other applications.
Threshold will hold back water, snow, leaves, dirt and debris. Using this aluminum garage door threshold and the correct garage door weather seal, we can help you seal ANY door to any floor.
Channeled for structural support, this threshold seal will withstand forklift traffic and provide years of service. Great option when using one of the vinyl threshold seals is no possible. This aluminum garage door threshold can be installed over painted and treated floors when a vinyl threshold seal cannot. This aluminum threshold can also be installed on asphalt and on floors that are less then perfect.
Product is shipped un drilled du to varying job site conditions. Typically this aluminum garage door threshold is installed using “Tapcons” and the tapcon is counter sunk into the aluminum. It is also advised to install a bead of high quality silicone on both edges, inside and outside and when butting sections of this aluminum garage door threshold together. In certain circumstances this aluminum garage door threshold can be simply glued to the floor using Loctite PL375 or Liquid Nails. We have also used a combination of adhesive and fasteners in various installations of this product.
This product is available in 49 & 55″ lengths that when combined cover all the typical garage door widths. See the drop down menu for options. Sections butt together nicely giving a clean finish. Hump is installed on the inside of the door and is held against the inside of the door, long flange is under the door. Tapered for run off and ramp effect when driving over or using carts and so forth.
