Bulb Weather Seal
Weather Stripping T Bulb Style
Slides into a single channel in the bottom or edge of the door.
This type of weather stripping is used on garage doors, counter shutters, mini warehouse doors, sliding windows, double hung windows, gates, tilting, sliding and bi parting door, windows and other applications.
This is an extremely adaptable weather seal, this is on the small end of a series of weather seals in the bulb type that then transition to a series of smaller seals that can be either bulb, brush or blade type. This particular bulb weather seal is used when you have a fairly large gap and your situation allows the use of one of the several styles of retainers that will accept the 1/4″ T style seals. If this size bulb weather seal proves to be too large for your application, drop down to the type of seals found in our blade, brush or other seals categories. Traditionally this particular seal is not used on garage doors but is used on counter shutter type doors, counter windows and like devices. This seal, although relatively small at 1/2″ round, will close up considerable gaps especially when used with one of our retainers that also provide an amount of adjustment when installed. This is a great seal that we use in many, many applications.
This weather seal is used in both horizontal and vertical applications and we have weather seal retainers that will accommodate both applications.

Installs easily with two people.
Clean the track and then apply lubricant such as WD-40 if you are working with longer lengths.
Do not stretch the weather seal , move it along the bottom of the channel until it is not being stressed or stretched, cut off any excess and lightly crimp the ends of the channel to hold the garage door bottom weather stripping in place.
An option to crimping the retainer is to run a small screw into the weather seal through the retainer or install a wedge into the channel pinching the seal in place.
If Bulb Style Seal is preventing you from getting the seal you need consider replacing the weather seal retainer to accommodate a different style of weather seal.
